I think this is a really great topic to address. DIYing is becoming more and more popular, leaving vendors in the dust. While I wouldn't agree with completely ditching a client because they asked for a discount, it was insensitive of them to ask after you gave them a great price.

Don't get me started on this topic. I gave a potential client a great price of full service wedding planning, then she had the audacity to ask me what the "recession discount was going to be" along with looking at my proposal to see what else I could shave off. Needless to say I told her goodbye and to think about hiring me and promptly called her later to let her know I got booked. No need to deal with someone who doesn't appreciate what my services and customer services is really worth.
